Kids Pattu pavadai

A Kids Pattu Pavadai (also known as a Pavadai Sattai or Langa Blouse) is a traditional South Indian two-piece ethnic outfit designed for young girls.

Anatomy of the Outfit

• Pavadai: A long, pleated, or gathered silk skirt that typically reaches the ankles.
• Sattai: A matching or contrasting short-sleeved blouse (often featuring puff sleeves, boat necks, or aari/maggam handwork).
• Zari Borders: Heavy gold or silver woven zari threads along the hem and edges of the skirt.

Fabrics & Materials

• Silk Types: Made from pure Kanchipuram silk, semi-Kanchipuram, soft silk, raw silk, or art silk.
• Comfort Blends: Silk-cotton blends or lined interiors (using soft cotton) to keep young skin comfortable and breathable during long ceremonies.
